The Origin of the Word "Dada"
The origin of the word "dada" is disputed. One of the most interesting hypotheses claims that the word was due to pure chance. It's said that the founders of the movement had merely opened a dictionary and selected the first word they happened on. The term "dada", thus chosen, thereby underscores their mockery of conventions.
